Hi, I’m Chris – the heart behind Jake’s Barkery. What started as a small lockdown project during COVID quickly grew into something I never expected. I was simply searching for healthy treats for my kelpie, Max, when a customer asked me to make a dog cake. From that one request, Jake’s Barkery was born, and today it has grown into a much-loved dog cake business offering a wide variety of cake options to celebrate our furry best friends.Before stepping into the world of dog cakes, I spent over 20 years working in the disability sector – a field I’m still proudly dedicated to. Creating Jake’s Barkery has been a refreshing change of pace and a chance to channel my creativity into something  joyful and rewarding. Every cake I make keeps me motivated and inspired, knowing I get to play a small part in the special milestones of dogs and the families who adore them.
